Soccer Coach, But the Trauma is the Same

I’ll try to keep it short - coached high school soccer for 10 years. We had a lot of success on and off the field. The principal decided to not renew my contract at the end of my last season and didn’t have to tell me why. It lead to a lot of mental trauma, feeling like I had done something completely inappropriate. Turns out a parent with too much pull at the school was upset her “angel” of a child was not named to all-conference and all-region teams. I’m in a much better place a couple of years later, meanwhile the school is now on their 3rd coach, but it left me with no desire to continue coaching. It’s all sad.
